"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." (2.2, 46).
This quote reminds the readers that it does not matter where you come from or what your name is, if you love someone than that is all that matters and nobody can stop you from feeling the way you do. I think this is very important for everyone to keep with them in their everyday life, that you should never judge someone by their name, but their personality and how they treat you.

In the Name of Love
One television show that relates or connects to Act 4 of Romeo and Juliet is Friday Night Lights. This is a perfect connection because in this show the character of a 19 yr-old Texas boy who is put in a wheel-chair, after receiving a hard hit during the opening night of Dillion Football when he was a sophomore. Now two years later Jason Street is a father of his miracle child (seeing that it was almost impossible for him to have a child due to his condition) but cannot support his baby and girlfriend financially. His girlfriend then moves to New Jersey to live with her parents while Jason is left in Texas miles and miles away. Because Jason's love is so strong he decides to leave his life in Dillion, Texas, drop everything he has ever known, to go to New York City and get a job. Not everyone could take this leap of faith, then again love can do anything.
I honestly believe that love can make one do anything. Whether it is love for your mother, father, sibling, aunt, grandpa, dog, cat, plant, it doesn't matter. This feeling we all receive that takes over our minds and bodies ultimately controls us. Without love we would all be empty and cold. The things I would do for love definitely depends on the situation. If it is life or death than i would definitely save my family over my own life. One can not plan for how they will react in tough situations, but I can only hope that I would do the right thing. So, ultimately I don't think I can sit down and write down exactly what I would do, in every possible situation, for love. That is a hard question; What would you do for love? How I see it is that you have to live in the moment and take life as it comes, therefore I cannot plan on what I would do. The only thing I can say is that, for love, I will do anything that will let the people I love have eternal happiness.

To obey, or disobey
Adults and children do not often think alike. Why would they, adults have so much more stress that they have to carry around and obviously worry much more than kids do. This stress causes adults to think about what they are doing before they are doing it while us kids have that "You only live once or YOLO" attitude all the time. What do we have to worry about anyway, besides homework and whether or not we get to watch the newest episode of our favorite T.V. shows. Many times in every child's life we may disagree with one of our parents or guardians because of this difference in thinking. I personally have gone through many situations in my life where I have not agreed with one of my parents. And I am sure that I am not the only one. One story particular, I think a lot of people can relate to.
When I was about eight, I remember distinctly walking in Scituate harbor with a bunch of my friends and all our mothers. It was about the middle of the summer and all of us were pretty hungry from a long day at the beach. All of us were whining and being annoying, just like any other eight year old. So the moms finally gave in and we all went to T.K.O Malley's for some dinner.
We all walked into the refreshing air-conditioned restaurant and waited for the hostess to seat us at our booth at the corner of the restaurant. First we all ordered our drinks, I ordered a "Shirley Temple" (as I always do). The moms were all laughing at each others "funny" stories while we all sat coloring on the pictures that every "family friendly" restaurant gives to all kids under 12 yrs-of-age to keep them entertained before the food comes out. As the waitress was walking back with our drinks we were all deciding what to order. All my friends didn't want "real" food so their mothers were letting them just get hot fudge ice cream sundaes. I wanted to do the same thing but "noooooo!!" I had to order a nutritious meal because apparently only eating junk food all the time makes you fat or something, well at least that's what my mom said. I was furious, all I wanted in life was to eat a hot fudge sundae with my friends on a hot summer night, but my mother had to crush those dreams. What did she have against happiness, I thought. Our waitress finally reached our table. Everyone ordered their food while I quietly waited for the waitress to finish rotating around the table until it was my turn to tell her what I wanted. And as each one of my friends ordered their sundaes I stared at my mom and when it was finally my turn, I looked the waitress in the eye and said "Hello my I please have a hot fudge sundae with two cherries on top, please and thank you!" The waitress wrote down my order and said she will be back with our food as soon as it is ready. My mother was looking at me with that glare you see on every mother's face when their child disobeys them. But, what was she going to do now, that's right NOTHING. I had her wrapped her around my tiny, little finger, I was so polite to our waitress that at first she didn't even know what came out of my cute little mouth. But as she was walking away to the kitchen, my mom was shocked that I actually didn't do what she had asked. The waitress, later, came back with my ice cream and I ate it up with the biggest smile on my face. Oh, but when I got home, my mother sat me down and yelled at me. She was appalled at how her sweet eight year old girl could be so sinister and sneaky. The whole time I just had a smirk on my face. It was already done, therefore she could do nothing, it was over. I got my hot fudge sundae and she would just have to deal with it!

Love & Decision-Making
Decisions are what guide and shape the lives of every person old enough to open their eyes. seriously, every decision one person makes can not only change their life but the life of others too. Everyone has to make multiple decisions throughout their day. Whether it is small such as the decision of having a bagel or yogurt for breakfast or if you want to go for a walk or go to the gym. These type of decisions don't necessarily shape a persons life but other big decisions can. For example deciding what college to go to or whether to take an honors or a college placement class in school. In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare many of the characters make big decisions that change the way the readers view the entire story.
Romeo, a Montague, falls in love with Juliet, a Capulet. These tow kingdoms are enemies and are violent towards one another. His decision to marry Juliet definitely puts both him and Juliet in danger. When Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, find out that he has been near the Capulet house, in fact even at one of their parties he becomes even more furious at all Montagues. When the two enemies cross paths the anger arises. First, it was just talking but then it turned to more. Tybalt stabs Mercutio, Romeo's best friend. This decision made by Tybalt was probably not smart because later it resulted in his own death. Some decisions people make on an everyday basis can be irrational, such as the decisions made in this scene. People don't always think things through before they do them. What causes these things to happen can be many different things. For example stress, anger, long-lasting feuds, or even love. But before making these decisions not everyone thinks about who this decision will impact. When Romeo killed Tybalt he wasn't thinking about how his now Capulet family, and especially Juliet would think. The lesson is that before making a life changing decision always think about how the outcome will effect others.
